The area producing the Ribera del Júcar D.O. is mainly flat, consisting in a plain with a few scattered hillocks. The flatness of the landscape is only broken by the river Júcar and some wooded hills between Sisante and Casas de Haro. This environment is very appealing to hunters, as red partridges and rabbits abound.
The Ribera del Júcar
is host to very interesting forested areas, such as the umbrella pine forest
next to the A-31 dual carriageway in Pozoamargo, or the riverside forest
made up of willows, black poplars and elms.
