History
It was established in 1956 by 37 members, and nowadays has more than 325. This involves 95% of the population of Casas de Benítez, where the winery is located.
The winery has 1,780 hectares of vineyards and a production capacity of 12 million Kg. of grapes.
Tempranillo is the
main grape variety, with 800 hectares, followed by Bobal (700 hectares).
There are also small plots of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Macabeo and Airen.
The winery has invested more than 3,000,000 euros in state-of-the-art technology. It stands out for its air-conditioned ageing cellar, which contains over 500 American and French oak barrels.
