This morning in Toledo the Ribera del Júcar Protected Designation of Origin has held a meeting with the Director General for Rural Infrastructures and Development, Miguel Cervantes. Attending on the part of the Ribera del Júcar P.D.O. Javier Prósper, the P.D.O.’s President, Juan Carlos Cabrero, the Vice President and Juancho Villahermosa, Manager of the P.D.O.

The goal behind the meeting was to inform the Directorate General for Rural Infrastructures and Development on the concerns that the Ribera del Júcar P.D.O. has.
The subjects that have been dealt with in the meeting have revolved around the subsidies available in the ‘Differentiated Quality’ program and commercialisation of our wines on international markets, likewise informing on the implementation of our viniculture project, which is closely linked to the rural environment, understanding that grape growing and wine production is vital for rural areas and that we must both promote and protect it.

Miguel Cervantes showed great interest in the subjects and proposals that were put forward by the Ribera del Júcar P.D.O., offering all his collaboration.
