TOP SPANISH WINES 2012
Two Ribera del Júcar Protected Designation of Origin wines, ADAR Y ADAR PETIT VERDOT, which are a result of the alliance between ELVI WINES and BODEGAS ILLANA, have been selected for the event that is organized by the prestigious Guía Peñin.
The city of San Francisco, located in the state of California, the most important vine growing area in the United States, will be hosting an event with a selection of the best Spanish wines of 2012. The name of the event is “Top Wines from Spain, according to the Guía Peñín”, and two Ribera del Júcar Protected Designation of Origin wines will be participating, Adar and Adar Petit Verdot.
The sixth edition of “Top Wines from Spain” will take place on the upcoming March 20th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Bentley Reserve’s Banking Hall, building located right in the heart of downtown San Francisco, in the financial district.
It is expected that the main journalists from general and specialized American media groups will be attending, along with importers and buyers that are interested in consolidating their portfolio of Spanish quality wines. The Guía Peñín has been developing a Spanish wine promotion program in the United States for the last five years, mainly through events that are aimed at professionals in which a broad-ranging selection of references, varieties and denominations of origin are being made known to the North American public. The idea is a series of events that have one essential requirement, which is that the wines that are presented must have a minimum score of 90 points in the Guía Peñín and, therefore, that they must represent the best that Spanish wines have to offer outside of our borders.
