THE RIBERA DEL JÚCAR PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN WILL PARTICIPATE IN ALIMENTARIA 2012

Next week the Ribera del Júcar Protected Designation of Origin will be participating at the prestigious trade fair Alimentaria.

The Ribera del Júcar Protected Designation of Origin will have its own stand at the trade fair this year (Gran Vía Premises. Pavilion 03. INTERVIN Stand E115), with expectations that are indeed positive for this gathering, the same given the good results obtained with the contacts made prior to the trade fair. This is thus corroborated by the President of the designation of origin, Javier Prósper, who affirms that “there are good perspectives; we have been working on Alimentaria for more than two months now, holding direct contacts with national and international importers and distributors.”

More specifically, the designation has been working on informing and making the wines of the Ribera del Júcar Protected Designation of Origin known in the hospitality industry, to the distributors and to the Horeca sector (hotels, restaurants and catering). As assured by the Manager of the designation of origin, Juancho Villahermosa, “our prior work and, above all, the quality of our wines has borne its fruits. The interest of the companies that we have been in contact with is more than evident and their visit to our stand is absolutely guaranteed.”

On this occasion, the cooperative Cooperativa La Magdalena will be participating with its VEGA MORAGONA wines, COOP. LA MAGDALENA, COOP. NTRA.SRA.DE LA CABEZA with its CASA GUALDA wines, COOP. PURISIMA CONCEPCIÓN with its TEATINOS wines, COOP. SAN GINES with its CINCO ALMUDES wines and BODEGAS Y VIÑEDOS ILLANA, with its CASA DE ILLANA wines.

An opportunity such as the one that Alimentaria provides will duly comply with the expectations that the Ribera del Júcar Protected Designation of Origin has, with the designation acting as a “meeting point” between companies, distributors and the wineries that produce the Cuenca based designation of origin. The results obtained during these five days of trade fair will have a direct impact on our wineries and the goal we are pursuing is not only to promote a product that is already stabilized, but to actually consolidate our national and international markets,” Javier Prósper affirms.
