TEATINOS 2011 SYRAH GRAN MANOJO
TEATINOS 2011 SYRAH WALKS AWAY WITH A “GRAN MANOJO” IN THE YOUNG RED WINES CATEGORY AND VEGA MORAGONA SYRAH 2010 IN THE YOUNG ROBLE WINES CATEGORY.
Once again the Ribera del Júcar Protected Designation of Origin wines receive awards in the PREMIOS MANOJO 2012 National Wine Contest. Teatinos Syrah 2011 made by the Cooperative Purísima Concepción in Casas de Fernando Alonso, walked away with the “Gran Manojo” Award, that is, the best young red wine from among all the young red wines and Vega Moragona Syrah 2010 made by the Cooperative La Magdalena in Casas de Haro, which obtained the “Bronze Manojo” in the oak-barrel aged red wine category.
The Premios Manojo 2012 National Wine Contest that is organized by Urcacyl in collaboration with Agri-Food Cooperatives of Spain, and which also counts with the sponsorship of the Regional Association of Savings Banks and of the Government of Castilla y León, along with the participation of the Town Hall of Tordesillas, is already a referent for the cooperative wineries and for the entire sector.
Urcacyl has been working in favor of Spanish and Leonese cooperativism since the year 1987, thus now, in 2012, it celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary, moment that also coincides with the International Year of Cooperatives. Hence this fourteenth edition of the Premios Manojo National Wine Contest is of particular significance for the world of cooperative wineries.
